    KC query, fake?

A relative, knowing my interest in German military, gave me this cased Knight's Cross many years ago. I had always assumed that it was a reproduction of a 1957 type. So, I am prepared for the worst. Please can somebody venture an opinion? I would like to know if it is real or fake, if real who made it, and, if possible, when. The same goes for the case.
    Many thanks in anticipation,
    Kerry.

Here is the top and outside of the case, sorry about the scans, my camera is out of action,

I do not know if it is relevant, but here is the base of the case. It is also hard to spot, but there is a small "800" stamped beneath the suspension eye on the reverse of the medal.
      Thanks again,
      Kerry.

Sorry, I forgot to mention, the centre of the cross is magnetic,

          Looks good too me.

Second core C frame in an early box made by S&L.

There are members here who will be able to tell you when it was made.

Nice set indeed. I note that the front frame öse has been finished differently to the rear, the rear is what I expect, the front looks more D frame.

Thank you all for your valuable responses.
I am still curious as to the approximate date of manufacture.
Also I have had some requests regarding possible sale, but I have no idea of value and if there is a ready market for these? I am not particularly attached but would like to know what would be reasonable, collector to collector.
                      Thank you all once more,
                      Regards,
                      Kerry.

70's at a guess, late, see if Nigel or Mathijs can pinpoint a more accurate date for you, but a very nice complete set 😉

                          Hello all,
I have now had a few requests to sell, but I have no idea of value. If possible could someone suggest what would be a reasonable price? That is a reasonable for both me and the potential buyer, not top market value.
                          Many thanks,
                          Kerry.
