Hi Nick!! Beautiful piece!!
As you said, S&L did a fantastic job on the early ones, you really need to handle one to appreciate the quality, so much better than the later ones!!
A couple of early examples have turned up recently, at more than fair prices, I was surprised they didn't get snapped up!!
