Nope........... IMHO...........

In the TR era there were 29 U-Boat badges awarded with a diamond encrusted swaz. To my knowledge there is no 57er version with diamonds.

No, definitely not!!!
S&L did make some "fantasy" type pieces in the 70's/ 80's, and some were shown at exhibitions etc. I'm not sure if any Diamond pieces were ever made?
If this had been an S&L piece, even though fantasy, it would at least have been of some interest to 57 collectors (well, in my opinion anyway!), but, this U-Boat badge isn't an S&L, looks to be a cast piece by an unknown faker!

Plenty of these fantasy rubbish badges being sold from China through a Canadian e-bay'er, even in a Silver grade ...........AVOID !
Here are some examples of his wares.....they appear to be of better quality than the one shown at the start of this thread and are always marked on the pin with a "21".
