Agreed! I always look for the right side vein flaw as a strong indicator. Some of the cast copies of the S&L produced "copy" have this flaw too!

A good way to tell cast from die struck, on OLS, is to look where the swords joint the leaves, they should be a separate piece soldered on, if they look as if they are all one part, then most likely a casting!
We shouldn't forget though, in more recent times S&L also made some of their Oaks using a casting process, but the silver finish is very different, and I think the die flaws were eliminated altogether by that time!
