Early St&L Oaks/Swords

Hi,

I purchased the set last night as a "Buy It Now" (with immediate PayPal) after placing a bid (turned out to be reserve not met, however high bidder) earlier in the day. I had no idea anyone else was "attempting" to purchase as this was an US eBay transaction with a Buy It Now option. Also, I was not aware the seller is on WAF. I do not think this piece was posted in E-Stand? I have been looking for an early set with the "o" mark from S&L as the early set I have is marked "800", but lacks the "o". I more than likely will not keep my current set when the other arrives. Martin, if you have an interest please let me know, and I think we can work something out.

Hi Nigel,

No idea, I just assumed a WAF member when Martin stated he had sent a PM. Probably should not assume. Maybe he was referring to a message sent through eBay, not sure.

I did notice the seller mentioned only two flaws, hence an earlier piece, not that many collectors know that!!!

I am curious to compare with the piece I have now. The seller appears "in the know" and must be a forum member somewhere. I hope Martin has no ill feelings towards me as I had no idea regarding his interest until this morning.

A nice set. Congrats on picking them up. The seller definitely knows what he is looking at as evidences by his description. Do you have an RK that you will match them to?
