OK OK I´m selling most of my 57er but....... ;)

I am not out of business gentleman

That was one of the expensive reasons why I sold most of my 57er. The next reason comes but has nothing to do with 57er or militaria.

The holder was Klaus Hortian. Still a few weeks in my collection but I think it is the right time to show it.

Congrats Patrick, a beautiful attributed Deumer!

Is the GdR membership card in a different collection?

        Regards,
        Nick

            Wow Patrick!!
A stunning piece, it really is!!!!!!!!!!
Just the RK all on its own would be great, but with case, and provenance attributing it...............Does'nt get much better!!!
I see why maybe a few other pieces had to leave your collection to make room for this one!!!
Do we know if Hortian had any other 57ers, and if he did what happened to them?

Going slightly off topic, I think anyone who looks at a super Schickle framed RK like this, can surely see how much it looks like the big brother to a Deumer EK2?
I can't believe no wartime link was thought of along the same lines of thought? Even the silver frosting is typical for Deumer!!!
I know Gentry has put forward the theory that Deumer were the maker of these all along, even back in the wartime period, and that they were only retailed by Schickle, never actually made by them, I don't know how many of you have seen the wartime photo's taken in the Deumer factory, where the workers are finishing RK frames, so they certainly had some hand in RK production even back then!

            Anyway...detour over!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful Deumer RK, super set, top attribution!!!!!!!!!!
            Congratulations all round Patryk!!!!!!!!

@Nigel This KC is not the only reason. I am really a little bit tired about 57er. So I sell a lot of my collection to realise some other projects
(no militaria) . But so quickly you don't get rid of me

Well this is the KC from Philipp Militaria which was sold a few weeks ago and there was also a DKiG. But much overpriced.

                Incredible RK and documents Patrick!!!

I am glad to see some of my funds went to good use!

As far as Klaus (Kurt) Hortian, he definitely won the RK late in the war during November 1944. The 133 Flak Regiment motorized (LW) was attached to the 15th Flak Division (LW) which fought in Southern Russia and Rumania during 1942-1944. By late 1944, the unit had retreated into Hungary. That being said, the RK was more than likely won fighting the Red Army in Hungary.

                Best,

                Jeff

                        Hi,

No, mis-understanding, my funds spent with you for nice 57er items went to good use. Glad to see you purchased such a nice set. If I had owned this set, I would have let go of a kidney first, well maybe......

                        Best,
