      Congrats Nigel !!!!

I was thinking about to bid on it, but from the seller pics I thought that EK2 is a fake......
Even now when I'm looking at this cross I have strange feeling that the frame is too thin? But maybe that is just an eye-trick caused by frosting and polishing ??

And my other which, is still made of flatwire, but wider, cut into a different shape, and bent in a different style (Patryk showed us a similar style used by Deschler on non 57, but postwar pieces)......

This is the type I have.

The catch on your other spange was attached with the more black/later solder we know from St&L it seems? Could be a leftover piece from when Deumer ceized production that got sold off the another maker maybe?

          Regards,
          Nick

            That is quite possible Nick!
I noticed the black solder, and had to check to see if that matched the solder around the hinge, which it does, so I can rule out a later replacement catch I think?
When we think of S&L, the black solder is indicator of a later piece normally, we see it on shield prongs, various pinback hardware, and the solder between later EK and RK frames....do we know why the later solder is this black colour???

The Ek II is clearly the same as those stunning Ek Is. What a collection.
