    Gun Show DKiG pick-up... Deumer..??

Was offered this cross at our latest Gun Show here...just over 1020 tables this year so lots of variety and more militaria collectors all the time...great show..anyway, always appreciate your opinions...pin has been reattached and only caused discoloration to the top of the reverse, no concerns on the obverse...red is enamel, not painted

As noted , always appreciate opinions...

        Hi Floyd!
        Super , quality Deumer DKiG!!!!!!!!!!
One look at the obverse, and the quality shouts out!! When you originally showed some pics, I thought it was a shame about the repair, but looking now, the repair makes little overall difference, its only cosmetic really, everything you want in a good cross is there!!
Being able to positively identify several of Deumer's 57 products...DK, RK, & Oaks have been some of the 57 collecting worlds greatest moments I believe, and everytime we see one of them, we again realise that Deumer were the maker of the very best quality 57ers!!
I think you have a wonderful DK Floyd!!!!!!!

Just received mine yesterday from nordmark ( thanks Daniel ) and The quality is equal to my wartime Klein .the early S&L have the same quality but IMO the deumer/deschler have a better eye appeal.

I agree the Deumer's do Tony, but not so much the Deschler's, all their pieces are scarce, but with the possible exception of their KVK2, don't have the same quality as the other early makers, well, in my opinion anyway?

Hi Tony a few down the years I guess, but overall, not too many, rarer than Deumer! Just not as attractive!!!!
There is a modern made fake, which, wether by design or by chance looks quite a lot like a Deschler, the fakes are often aged, and that coupled with the fact that Dechlers don't hold their finish as well as other makers makes close study a must!
At the moment the fakes use a BIG hollow rivet, which easily tells them apart!!
