    Admiral Gerd Schreiber

    Hello all,

I was able to pick up the jacket for Admiral Gerd Schreiber. He served a limited time during the war as he was captured when his sub (U-95) was sunk by a Dutch submarine in the Med. He was lucky to survive along with some of his crew and spent his time as a POW in Canada and joined the BW after the war.

I saw the visor with the jacket but the guy only sold me the jacket. Maybe some point in the near future I will be able to obtain the visor. Anyway, always happy to add another great item to the collection.

    Hope you enjoy!

    Regards,
    Rudy

A submarine commander who won the DKiG and joined the BW AND reached the rank of an Admiral ....... it does not get better

HereĀ“s pic of him and another one as POW in Bowmanville. Note that he was prisoned with Otto Kretschmer

Hi Rudiger - I saw that picture in another thread from a guy who has his German Cross in Gold. Good to talk to you my friend.

Hi Nigel - Who knows?????? I couldn't tell you if he sold it, kept it or used it for some other purpose. I'm sure it will show up one day.

          Regards,
          Rudy

                      Yes I did.
I guess I am still infected in 57er miniatures.
