My first thought was that it had been factory done, and I think I wrote that in my first reply.
It does make a difference, certainly to me, when it was done! So it would be great if we could work it out!!
If this has been done by someone at home, then it would just be a de-Nazified copy of a TR medal, not really collectable from my point of view, if however it was factory done, then it becomes an interesting Souval variant, almost certainly made for vet wear, and so collectable!!!

Also I wanted to mention another thing: where the swastika used to be (I mean where the sanding was done), there are very small "holes" / "bubbles" in the core. I have never seen these on "genuine" denazified examples (however did not even check them properly). Is it not possible that Souval used a different technic to create the iron cores having a more rough (textured surface)?

I have made a small study and learned that the cast iron surfaces are always rough but there are different standards of polishing / making them more smooth:

How about Souval simply used a more rough sander than others - at least if they used any sander...? This could explain why the Souval cores are "textured"....

That's quite possible Andrew, we would need to see a bare core, with no paint to know I guess?

Exactly. That would be lovely to have a look at a bare core or use a paint removal on a core.

The swaz was removed indeed.
Unfortunately I don't know the maker...

Hi Patryk!!
I think at one time, these were thought of as wartimers, only in more recent years has the link to postwar Souval been found!
A couple of things to look for, the suspension ring is only soldered on one side, a typical Souval feature, and the skinny font style, of the date numbers, I believe the wartime straight arms have thicker, squarer numbers.
