Seems to be legit, but most likely a later made piece, the early ones have a different type of loop.
However, quite a few and strange flaws on this one ....

It's true. It looks like to be casted with bad quality of material used (which causes delamination).

Anyway, as Mathijs says, it also looks to be late but good piece.

IMO a good very late St u L made piece, with no highlights with loop for ribbon mount omitted at this late stage...........
Some German dealers seem to have a lot of these and late RAD/Police medals for sale at around 30 Euro.....all right as a filler, then as a comparison when earlier version obtained.

Agree with the guys....looks to be an S&L piece, later, but still a good one!!
The earliest ones are among the most attractive 57 medals!!!!
