    Help with prices

I am selling the last of my German collection and I was wondering before I put the items up for sale on the Estand what would be a fair price to ask for them. I originally purchased them of the Estand many years ago.

The first piece is an EK1 in a W11 case and I believe made by Deumer.

The second award is DKIG in a case.

    Many thanks, Gareth

              Hi Butch!
I am never much good at "guess the value" which is why I haven't replied earlier, but hoped someone with a better knowledge of prices might be able to help you?
All I will say, is that the case for the DKiG looks to be a modern made repro type, and not original to the DK, which obviously will lower the value a little!
              Otherwise, nice pieces!!

                Hello Butch,

Had a good look at this thread, and decided to help you out on pricing ...

                * EK1 - as I cannot comment on the etui, the EK1 alone should get you 85 Euro.
                * DKiG - as a set ( with etui ), I would think you can surely get 200-250 Euro.
Both the DK and the etui are period matching, a good set for a beginning collector.

                Grtz,
                Mathijs

If the EK1 etui is a wartime original, it will be worth more than the EK, might be an idea to post the case, in the cases and packets section?
Interesting Mathijs, that you consider both the DK and etui as from the same period? I thought that the DK was earlyish to mid 60's, but the etui looks much more recent to me????

@ Nigel, the modern production DK etuis have a more "fluffy" inlay tray and a stud ring around the push button.
If you pull away the velvet on the back, sure you'll see 637KB notation.

                      Grtz,
                      Mathijs

                        Thanks Mathijs!!
I just expected to see animal glue used on an earlier case, but if you think its a match to the DK, that's good enough for me!!!!!!!!!!!
