Very nice! Here's a photo from the Bundesarchiv showing Commodore (later Vice Admiral) Friedrich Oskar Ruge (Knight’s Cross winner on October 21, 1940) who was F.d.M. (Führer der Minensuchboote West or Leader of Minesweepers West) and then B.S.W. (Befehlshaber der Sicherung West or Commander of Security West), seen here inspecting a Minensuchflottille in France in 1941.

An impressive 57er set of Generalstabsarzt Prof.Dr.med. Walther Kittel, Knight's Cross of the War Merit Cross holder.

Recently put on sale on a German auction house, including most of his estate.

Interesting to see the placement of the Hindenburg and DKIS in the hierarchy. Nonetheless a beautiful ribbon bar, as is his full size 57er DKIS and anything else in this grouping!

                    Regards,
                    Nick

Same one used by Niemack in 1981 during the funeral of Karl Dönitz.
