A grouping of Bundeswehr Oberstleutnant Walter Gericke......an Artillery Major in WW2 attached to A.O.K.6, Army Group South, Eastern front.....seconded to a Hungarian unit "Königlichen Ungarischen I. Schnellkorps" in 1941 as an Oberleutnant...interesting set with paperwork provenance..............
I now own only one piece from this grouping, Gericke's "KvK 1 mit Schwerten" the grouping was broken up into separate auctions on E-Bay Deutschland recently.
I have kept images of the Gericke set and now show in a series of images, as the group was not photographed together !
It appears that Gericke was awarded the BvK am Bande 14/4/1978, although this award was not offered in the group.
Anyone has further information on Gericke (especially an image of the man) please add or pm me....Thanks.
First up his medal/frack bar and outstanding mini-chain.............
Prost ! Steve.Last edited by Steve 5; 01-06-2015, 09:12 AM.

Hello Gents,
This is not an area I’m overly familiar with at all, but I have a growing interest. I have looked through several threads in amazement; many of you have posted some phenomenal attributed 1957 KC’s. If I was to delve into this area of collecting, is there any advice as to where to source out such items? Is there someone who specializes in selling this area of collecting? Are there any good reference books on 1957 items?
Thanks for your patience, Cheers.

Hi!!
Welcome to the 57 section!!!
If you are looking for attributed 57 RK's, such pieces are highly sought after, and rarely come up for sale! If they do, you will have to pay quite a high price, occasionally they turn up on dealers sites, and on E-bay, but I wouldn't always take the sellers word for the attribution.......solid provenance should be provided before you hand over a chunk of cash!!!
I don't think there is any book just on 57ers, we are making new discoveries all the time, and I don't think the time is right for a definitive guide?
Many books which concentrate on one particular medal or badge, often contain a small end section on the 57 version, but these are often inaccurate!!
