    My first 57 Cross

As we all know this collecting game is a strange thing. Happy with my collection of luft tunics , helmets and a few medals . i purchased a small group of iterms from a work friend whos brother in law had a direct link with a family in germany and in the 60's while visiting was asked to bring the group back to the UK as the family did not wish to have them in the house. so with out even looking, a dream of owning an original KC came to me out of the blue. and befor i could even let the dust settle i was thinking what can i display next to this grand addition to my collection. so i started to look in to the very interesting field of 57 KC related iterms. As i am still not sure how this has turned my head, but after afew pm's and a few E-bay time wasters , i mannaged to purchase a very fine fist addition to my 57 Knights cross related collection . where this will take me i am not quite sure because i a a few uniform related bits i would like to own . hope you like my first addion as much as i do. best to all and thanks for the kind help martin .

Top notch Schickle RK Martin! Would love to have an example of my own one day.

A Schickle ! and an "800" marked one at that, an outstanding acquisition !
For a first cross it is the one to own....the holy grail of RK's !
It is believed by many on this sub forum to be of "Deumer" production using wartime frames or a the very least frames from the original early wartime Otto Schickle dies !
          Prost ! Steve.

            Great RK Martin!!
Still called a "Schickle" by many, as it uses either Schickle's leftover wartime frames, or 57 period produced frames made from the original Schickle dies!
Actual maker is almost certainly Deumer, who in the world of 57ers are known as a maker of the highest quality, and the same is true of these RK's, not only nicer IMO than S&L's but also much scarcer!
            Really is a super piece!!!

              Hi Martin,

You can't beat that for the first RK purchase. Well, maybe there is one but this one is up there and like Steve said 800 marked to boot.

              Congrats.
              Regards,
              Rudy

Very nice RK. This one calls for early 800 oaks, donĀ“t buy him 925 ones.

                      Great looking RK!

Hopefully more 57er pieces will be in your future.

                      Best,

                      Jeff
