    Demjansk

    Hello,

yesterday I've got another Armschild. This time Demjansk one.

I belive it to be early S&L.

It has typical S&L claws, that are soldered in quite crude way.

Now I need only Kuban to complete Armschilds set

    ...

it looks to be a steel plate.

Borzadow, indeed IMO you show an St u L early "Demjansk" shield, and it will be steel, it should be magnetic, mine is identical to the one you show, infact due to its age the front of mine has turned a lighter shade of brown due to formation of a light rusty patina ! the rear still retaining most of its silver colour ! Great addition to your shield collection
      Prost ! Steve.

Nice Patrick, looks to me like an earlier example as you said!!
When you have added a Kuban to your collection, maybe a group shot???
        Fine addition!!!

            Hi,

            Great looking shield!

Hopefully, you will get a Kuban soon and post an image of the entire group!

I checked my Demjansk shield, and it looks to be the "brother" of the one described by Steve. The reverse is a nice metal appearance as both sides of your shield, however the front has a somewhat brownish patina. Magnetic as well.

            Best,

            Jeff
