    knight's cross on ebay?

    Dear all,
because of the formula 1 race in singapore I missed the auction .

    I think it is a good S&L KC with c-frame - isn't it?

    Hi!
This one was discussed not long ago I believe?
Mathijs had his doubts if I remember, I thought it was a S&L 1st pattern core coupled with a "C" frame, which would make it a scarcer variant, though not necessarily a more desirable one, unless you are a die-hard RK anorak, which someone probably was, as it went higher than I thought it might!! (allowing for the less than perfect pics!)
Hope the seller is someone from here, and we can see it posted!!!

      Thank you Nigel!

      I found the thread :

      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=759357

It is the first KC in the thread.

From my perspective it is an original S&L with 1st core and c-frame.

      More opinions are welcome.

      best regards

I had a go at it, but did not win. A perfectly good first pattern C-frame IMO.

        Regards,
        Nick

I´d agree that the cross is a nice original S&L.

Nice C-frame for a good price

Very nice KC . We see not many of them the last month. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. The next will come.

Not I, said the new guy

I was watching it though. Don't feel comfortable enough with the crosses yet to bid on them, nice to know I was at least right to watch this one, though

I still don't like it - just look at the circled area's :

                              * Loop eye - looks very weird
                              * Corners of the frame - never seen this on 57er KC

Furthermore - no frame flaws ( beading flaw is missing ) - something you see on all St&L 57er KC's.

To me - this either a fake or genuine core in reproduction frame.

                              Grtz,
                              Mathijs
