EK II spange, thanks to Nick !

Gentlemen, before getting Karsten's compensation items, member "Mustangstje" Nick had sent me, gratis, a spare EK II spange he had to make up for the loss in the post of Karstens spange. I think Nick has already shown both the EK I & EK II spanges, they are by an unknown maker.....although I think Deumer is a good candidate ! great pebbled finish to the core and nice paint job, with polished highlights with slight differences in font and a midges bigger than the St u L version........
I would like to thank Nick for his generosity A BIG THANKS NICK !
    Prost ! Steve.

Firstly, that's very good of you Nick!!!!!!!!
I remember the spange when Nick first posted it, indeed enough differences to say this type is surely by another maker?
We can't be sure just now, but Deumer must be the hot favourite for this one, we know they made pretty much all of the 57 series, and apart from S&L, are the only other known 57 maker who made Imperial style EK1 & 2's!
There would seem to be little point to any maker producing the spangen, if they didn't have the Imperial style EK's to pair them up with??
If any 57 period Imperial style EK's by Assmann or Deschler turn up, we may have to have a re-think, but for now, I would be happy to say Deumer is the most likely maker!!
Great piece, and great job all round guys...well done all!!!!!!

Beautiful spange, I'm glad you like it. Not really "gratis", but we made a good trade. I don't think I have shown the EK2 class here or on HWMF for anyone to see, I'm behind on my uploads......

It's time for a group shot of the EK spangen Steve!!!

            Regards,
            Nick

I'm glad you have a spange out of all this. A very kind gesture. There are a lot of those going on at present.
