Post war Ostvolk Medal 1st Class in Gold.......

Gentlemen, it arrived.....my post war version of the Ostvolkmedaille (Medal for Gallantry and Merit) first class in Gold with swords for bravery, for members of the Eastern Peoples units.....made by St u L, note the small "o" mark/blob on the rear, with a closed hinge and a large headed pin on hinge assembly, so I would say mid 1960's production.....it keeps both my Silver and Bronze version company...

Excellent Steve, really nice!!!
Not easy to find in any kind of early form!
Super gold finish, thin catch, 2nd style pin, and round headed hingepin, I think your date is spot on (as far as I know anyway!!)
The later made pieces are actually stamped Steinhauer & Luck, don't know if I have any pics on file, I will add them here if I have, or if anyone else has any, or any of the pinback Ostvolks with hardware or design variants , please post !!!!!
