    The RKT grouping...............

Gentlemen, just received this exquisite set of miniatures via Andrew, from an RKT, sadly name unknown.....Andrew started a thread most of you have seen, but I have taken more images to show off these beauties.....the set comprises of his miniature medal bar, miniature medal/award stick pin, a miniature RK stick pin both in award and ribbon bar style and his OdR membership stick pins, one clearly older than the other...perhaps he updated for bling's sake !
The miniature medal bar and the awards stick pin have the small "o" marking associated with St u L......I would imagine the set/grouping, excluding the OdR pins(which are not mm) are probably St u L made pieces.....I have not seen the miniature RK stick pin both in award and ribbon bar style before.....comments welcome.
    Prost ! Steve

p.s. a big thanks to Andrew for letting me have these

Exquisite and, I imagine, expensive. I love miniatures...this is killer. Have you tried bouncing the award combination off portraits/records of RK recipients?

Since he has no post-war awards, you might be able to assume that he saw little to no post-war service and got these for events and reunions, perhaps. Or was the post-war award system pretty scarce?

                  Steve,

I am happy that the group finally landed at a serious collector who will never separate them. I am always angry when I see that somebody destroy a group for profit.

Anyway this is a really nice set for sure, I took 20-30 close ups for myself. I was even tempted to keep it.....

                  Andrew

Hi Andrew ! indeed a great, no, a fabulous set , I am glad you did not keep them !! please add some of your photographs, mine are a little out of focus, my photography skills are not my best asset !
Does the dealer you got them from have any idea who the recipient was ? any clues ?.......
                    Prost ! Steve.

Good for you in grabbing it Steve. That is a nice grouping. The name will be a great plus.

                        Regards,
                        Rudy

Unfortunately he does not, however he tried his best, he knew very well it would raise the value seriously, I suppose the new owner has to do this.... I will post more photos from another device later.

Well...I just went through nearly 2000 portraits in a thread over at AHF... every time I thought I found a possibility, he turned out to have a German Cross or a couple awards in different grades

I think ID is going to be a long, hard road
