CCC's...continuing on with my intiial photo groups

Well, am back after some time dealing with family members medical issues..so far everything positive so can breathe again....

Here are the pics I sent earlier on of my CCC's...all 3 appear from different eras of manufacture...appreciate thoughts on them...the different pins, metal back plate installations...the bronze and silver plates are magnetic, the gold is not...

Thanks in advance....and.... THE STICKERS WERE REMOVED....LOL...I learned quickly from you guys...no problems with the finishes, now have nice little tags on a string.....as all the rest of my 57's...

      gold back

the gold is an open hinge block, silver closed and bronze an early 'leftover' type....some old 'glue' remains on a couple pins from an old display..not corrosion...

            Nice CCC's Floyd!!
All from different period's as you said!!
Bronze is from the early period 58-60, Silver is a slightly later maybe mid 60's piece, and the Gold is later, with open hingeblock and thick catch, maybe 70's?? but still nice!!

Thanks everyone...was very curious about the dating of these...thank you Nigel for the date information...would the pin on the bronze possibly be leftover pieces from TR clasps, or just a continuation of production practices...?

                    Hi Floyd!
In most cases, although some of the earlier S&L hardware is very similar to wartime production, there are often small differences, sometimes tooling marks etc. that appear on wartime and not 57er or vice versa, which would point to most pins being new production, though certainly carrying on the wartime style in many cases, such as needle pins!
Tom Durante did some great study and compare on this subject some time ago!!

                      Hi Floyd,

All are really nice! The bronze is the "star" of the group, however the other two fit nicely in most '57 collections as well. Great you have all three grades!

                      Best,

                      Jeff
