    Clamshell Deumer EK1

    Hi Guys!
In the years I've been collecting 57 EK's, there's been one "Holy Grail" for me.... a clamshell, screwdisc Deumer EK1, I have only seen one, and then I spotted this one,bid on it, and won it!!
Unlike the screwback S&L's, Deumer's were usually flat not vaulted, and have no anti-rotation pin!
The screw post and clamshell look identical (to me) to the ones used on Deumer's wartime clamshells, and the frame which normally on 57ers is quite heavily flawed, is virtually flawless, so theres a chance I think, that some wartime parts are used in this cross?
    Photo's........

                    Hi Nigel,

Great EK1! The screwdisc is a work of art itself, not to mention the EK1. As Tom said, you must be super pleased!

                    Best,

                    Jeff

I saw this one on eBay. Was wondering who won it for that quite crazy price. Congrats!!!

                            Thanks to you all
I am a happy man tonight!!
The sellers photo's weren't the best, the obverse photo was taken at an angle, and looked more like an S&L than a Deumer!!
I was surprised I got it at the price I did, considering the rarity, I would have paid much more, I guess someone will ask the price!! It was 201 Euro's, but after you convert that to £'s it was around 160, so to me, that's pretty good!!!
