Not sure on this one Andrew
The catch looks neither thin nor thick, it has a solid hingeblock like an earlier piece, but detail, finish etc look late, pin style is close to S&L's 2nd style tapering pin, but not quite, also not sure on the rivets?
I personally wouldn't buy it, theres too many doubts for my liking, again I hope others will give their thoughts too!!

        Hello

Nigel is correct that the details and finish looks strange at first sight but imo this is just because the picture is taking inside.
I would suggest to take a picture outdoors in the light.

IMO then we will see that this is a good S&L badge made in the second half of the sixties.
This type of rivets was used by S&L. I have a very early type C para badge and it has the same rivets.
The doomed pinhead at the catch is consistent with the rounded edges/sides of the catch.
For me S&L used this type just before they switched to the broad catch.

IMO this is a good S&L Heeres Para. Better hang on to it because you hardly see these pop up.

        Best regards

Thanks also for your thoughts on this one Stijn!
Andrew, if you get the chance to take more photo's with natural, or even just different lighting please show them, as it may look a whole lot better with natural light??

I like it a lot more now!!!
The different lighting really shows the gold and silver finishes nicely, and both look like typical S&L!
So I would say... a good S&L piece from around the mid 60's
