    Deumer KVK1 w/o Swords

Hi Guys! Thank you to Michael for this new addition to my collection!!
Its a KVK1 by Deumer, in the rarer without swords version!!
It is a typical quality Deumer piece, with white frosted relief and polished mirror highlights on the raised arm edges and numbers, hardware is the usual for a quite early Deumer KVK1, with solid hingeblock, tapering pin (similar to S&L's but different!) and the typical Deumer roundwire "question mark" shaped catch!!
We can have a look at the KVK, and then some compare shots with another Deumer and an S&L!

    Obverse...........

Now a couple of side by side comparisons!
First alongside the more common with swords Deumer KVK1.........

Finally, alongside an S&L KVK1 without swords, at first glance they are pretty similar, but look closer and you can see everything is slightly differen!
            Deumer on the left........

Nigel, a wonderful Deumer ! the quality oozes out when set against the St u L version (which is still a nice piece), this is a rare catch indeed ! I wonder like the "mit schwerten" these "ohne" were ever mm "3" ?
I would imagine one would have to be lucky to score one of these Deumer awards when looking/hunting.......I think it will be one of these awards that come to light when a collection is sold off....sadly !
              Prost ! Steve.

                Thanks Steve!!!
I know the earlier two piece wartime converts were MM'd, but I can't remember seeing this type with a "3"MM? Maybe I've just forgotten!! If you have seen one, that would be very interesting, and I would love to see a photo??

                    Great cross, Nigel.
                    These are difficult to find.

                    Best regards

Nigel, I vaguely remember someone here showing off a two piece example without swords which was marked with the 3. I remember saying that it was the twin of mine apart from the swords. I shall look for the thread. Your example is an absolute beauty.

                        Thanks Guys!!
@Tony, as you said the earlier two piece types using the leftover wartime zinc bodies are usually marked with a "3", but the one piece "true" 57 design, are normally not marked!! So an MM'd one would be a rarity!!

                            Thanks Patrick!!
Theres some more hardware variants for me to collect in the one piece style, but the hardest one for me to find may be the two piece type witout swords, don't seem to be many around!!
