    57er Polizei Grouping

    Gentlemen,

You may be interested in taking a look at a 57er grouping from a Policeman that I posted on the Police Forum. I think these "Best of 2013" threads are interesting and bring out some nice collector finds for the year.

I have Karsten to thank for this grouping.

Thank you for your assistance Nigel.

The Honor Roll Clasp is a very detailed strike and has four flat prongs on the reverse ribbon attachment.

The Close Combat Clasp is also very detailed and has a closed hinge on the pin. The magnetic backplate is blackened and crimped in and there is no sign of the flaw on the back that appears on later strikes.

I presume these are all S&L from circa 1960 or thereabouts. I am always interested in opinions however. Let me know if there is anything specific that you wish to see.

                      George
