Hi Guys!
Just spotted this interesting piece, a numbered Luft GAB, by Souval!
What do you think, is it a de-Nazified wartime copy, or made as a 57 example?

Did also spot that one ... looks like a version with swastika removed.
Looking at the paint job, most likely removed prior placing the eagle ???

Based on the pics, it looks de-naz'd in my opinion. It looks like you can see the "stem" of the top of the swas. The finish is down to the metal in the place that the swas likely was (in the shape of possibly a swas).

That's what I thought too! But, as its a Souval, I guess this de-nazzed to produce a 57 style is acceptable.

For me too a denaz one. But the easiest way to make a 57er of it

The 57's that Souval made (that I have anyway) have been finished without the swas. I would imagine that vets did make 57's this way though.
