              Hi Daniel!
The PLM is a beautiful medal, and I would love to own one, I would like an early 57 era piece by S&L, but there are so many variants, both good and bad out there, at the moment I don't know enough to recognise the type I would like!!
If S&L made them from the 50's thru to modern production, as they did with 57ers, then we would expect to see quality slowly go down as the years went by!
So I think there will be a lot of S&L pieces out there from different periods, there are obviously pieces from other makers, some of which will be originals, others later copies, and then there are out and out fakes, the most convincing fakes I've seen have been the recently made Spanish type!!
So, unfortunately, I don't have the knowledge to say when or by who, any of the pieces you showed were made
Maybe some of the other guys here could help, but the PLM is a very specialist subject, and it might be a good idea to post these in the Imperial section too, as there are PLM collectors there, some of which might well have later pieces in their collections as well as early originals!!!
Sorry I cant really help Daniel

There has been a lot written about these on the Imperial forum so you could post them there as well as here (even though they are post WWI/II), and the guys should be able to fill you in pretty quickly on what you have.

Oh yeah, i too love the PLM

And a piece made by S&L in the 50s or 60s is too wanted here

IMO the first two have a good chance of being S&L. They don´t have the typical "Tortenöse" that you always see on pieces sold at ebay. These here are better made and the markings are very interesting. Sadly i can´t tell you more about the pieces and the markings.

IMO the last piece is a Göde piece .......

I believe the both first PlM are by SuL, because both have a distinctive flaw on the same position.

                          Hi Daniel!!
The flaws you showed make a good case for both PLM's coming from the same maker!!
Different suspension loops though, I am sure someone must recognise the marks on the close up you showed!!
After having a look on Ebay (where there are quite a few) I agree with Rudiger, that the last piece looks like a Gode copy??

I think that the first ones, with the same flaw, are quite collectable and made by S&L till the 60s ( as latest date). Two great pieces. iMO the one with the 800 mark is the earlier one, enamel on that one looks a little bit darker from the pics.

I would be happy to own these ..... i think you made a great catch with these, Daniel

About the marked loop ring ... could that be a replaced one? Looks like an old "wartime" one but doesn´t really fit to a 57er production date

The first two are most definitely S&L made pieces. (They are now making "Fake" S&L's these days - your first two crosses; however, are genuine S&L pieces.) Nice find!

The third cross with the oak leaves is most assuredly a Göde piece.
