Super DKiS, really nice looking piece, looks even better in your photo's which are excellent!!
It has the look pf a piece that might actually have been worn, which would make it extra special i think, as i doubt that many of these were actually bought and worn by vets, nowhere near as many Silvers awarded wartime as Gold!!
Looking at the tapering pin, thin catch and the large headed hingepin, i would think the piece was earlyish to mid 60's??
Anyway, a super piece and a scarce one too!!!

This is a very nice and very good looking rare cross!!
There are some small "holes" on the disc, I guess made by a war time tool for mounting the swastika after drilling out.
You made some very good pictures of it too.

My guess would be that these are indeed positioning marks.
These dots would then be used for glueing the EK on top of the silver disk.
I think an EK would cover these, whilst the cut-out on the KvK does not.

A very strange DK for sure ... both hinge block and pin are very close to the edge.
This resulting in a fine and quite long pin ....

As to the wreath, I have a similar one on a DKiG ( see attached ).
Strange, as we only know St&L to make the round type wreath and not this one.

Anyone care to guess as to maker and / or date of production ?

Looking closely at the details when compared with Mathijs' i dont think they are a match!
For me Maciej's is more likely an S&L variant, just my thoughts!!

Hello.

I think that is very similar to "albino" cross shown by Matthieu.

It also has specific markers position. A similar hinge pins and riveting.

Pin in my cross has a length of 55 mm, but the catch is positioned lower down and hides the end of the pin!

In the cross Matthieu hook and hinge is closer to the center
but pin protrudes further. I think there is'nt a big difference in the length of the pins?
I think that these differences are found, even from the same manufacturer!?

But I find it difficult to compare the wreath

I believe that the DKiS posted here may well be a Deschler. I had one in my collection which dated from the early 1960s, and which was concluded (including from an 'in the hand' examination of it by Peter Wiking) had come from Deschler.

In DKiS form these are quite hard to find, so a very nice DKiS and find
