I want to show you now some interesting photos of a Oberfeldwebel of the paratroops .

1939 training NCO in Bad Fischau at Wr. Neustadt .

France in 1940 , on to the hunt group Trondheim, thence to Sicily and the beginning of 1942 in the East.

July 1943 deduction from the Isium front to the home front , and then joined the paratroopers in Halberstedt . First application in Monte Cassino where he was severely wounded.

After recovery western front to the 7th Parachute Division ( self-reported ) where he was employed as a permanent "Stoßtruppführer".

In one of these takes against the first brit. tank Division he shot 2 tanks ----> therfore the 2 tank destruction badge .

        17.11.1944 serious injury - a shot at 1 m distance - hospital until the war ended .

All data are self-reported from the man.

Hello Sepp ! I think this is the first photo I have seen of Condne wearing his 57 RK. Usually only seen wearing just his ribbon bar. Tom

More great shots. That medal bar is as clear as day as is the RK.

I think the photo of the Austrian vet posted by Baska #1475 is really great!!
Looking at what 57ers he has, I can see a BWB, not sure if its 57 or de-Nazified wartime?, EK1, EK2 that looks like a Deumer with the shape of the frame? KVK2, can't see too much of it,looks like it could be Souval or flipped wartime?? and Luft Ground Combat badge, also he wearing the Europa-Kreuz!
A great selection of Austrian medals, especially OKB's!! And he still proudly wears his two TDB's!!!
