              He got into disagreements with Fellgiebel over Remy wearing awards showing the swastika at the meetings which Fellgiebel felt could bring the OdR into disrepute and cause much adverse publicity for the organisation.

              Actually banned was probably not the correct word , as a result of the disagreement and lack of comprimise by either party Remy decided that due to this he would no longer attend meetings.

              As you say Tom his intransegence probably came form his attitude even up to his death supporting the cause !
