                          Hi,

                          Two quick comments:

                          1) Wow! What a neck tie!

                          2) Fregattenkapitän Johann-Otto Krieg had quite a career in both wartime and postwar. He served on U81 during wartime, which is the U-boat that torpedoed the HMS Ark Royal, leading to it's sinking.

                          Best,

                          Jeff

The funeral of SS-Obersturmbannführer Otto Weidinger, in 1990.

                            Some RKTs and Weidinger's ordenskissen.

Back with the Blue Division vets

Francisco Serrano Burgos, who recently passed away at 95 years old, was a Spanish veteran who saw action on the Eastern Front.

He was awarded many German decorations during the war, including the Iron Cross 1st Class.

He lost both legs on the front and was wounded in the head by a soviet sniper.

Two more vets during a recent gathering for Blue Division Members.

(Note the IAB is pinned upside down in the first vet)
