If you have a look on his medal bar you can see on third Position a very rare austrian medal: "Militärverdienstmedaille des Bundesstaates Österreich". He is wearing it on the (wrong) ribbon of the Militärverdienstkreuz III. Stufe des Bundesstaates.

      Regards

      Christian
      Thanks Christian, very important info

Schnee is wearing some sort of miniature Uboot badge, could it be?

Very nice photo. Raeder appears to be wearing a miniature of the Hohenzollern House Order.

Excellent pic!! He seems to be very emotional... was it during his release?

Looks more like a funeral for someone by the way people are dressed.

I think it was at the dedication of new BM facilities in Bremerhaven. Tom

The Photos are made in front of the Christus garnisons Kirche in Wilhelmshaven in the 50th
He was there with his Wife and with Dönitz.

Hand in Hand with Dönitz and not good on foot and with a cane

I think it is not a funeral , look at the hat from reader
and in front of the Chruch are Navysoldiers from Wilhelmshaven.
I think its a memory Meet or else
