Hello ! This is a tough one. He was not at the 3 OdR reunions I attended, and I never met him. I wrote to him and the photo he sent was of him in war time. I don't remember ever seeing a post war pic of him wearing his RK? Tom

Hi Tom! He's a former member of the Waffen SS-Charlemagne Division and held the rank of SS-Hauptsturmführer in 1945.

Thaks Sepp ! The info makes this pic even MORE rare ! There can't be more than a few still living and fewer who still had their awards. Most of these men were sent to prison by the French Gov. after the war, like my friend and RKT Henri Fenet. I made a couple visits to his Paris Apt. many years ago. Thanks my Friend !!! Tom

Hello Sepp! When Trettner wore his RK w/Oaks post war he always wore his war time RK turned around. I have several pic's of him clearing doing this. Tom
