Early mint RK KvK with swords

    Hello everyone.

It's been awhile since I've posted something new. I got this before 2012 ended.

It still has alot of burnish on the medal and looks much better than the pictures. The ribbon is a short wartime version. Another fine addition to the collection.

    Regards,
    Rudy

        Hi Rudy!!
You might not have posted anything for a while, but you sure are back with a BANG!!!!
What a beauty, that super contrast between the matt "white" color of the pebbling, againt the mirror finish of the edges....just beautiful!!!
Overall, the pieces shows nice detail, crisp finish, and a high degree of hand finishing too, all signs of an early piece!!
As an added bonus the ribbon finishes it off nicely!!
Indeed a fine addition to your collection Rudy!!!
Thanks for brightening up my cold and snowy weekend!!!!!!!!!!!

          Rudy,

still alive and comes here with a rarely seen RK KvK with X

Like Nigel said an outstanding wonderful piece. Has all features of an early one.
Interesting to see the flaw on the right sword guard, there´s a small piece missing.

Don´t know if i noticed that on other RK KvK´s.

A super great catch, my friend

              Very Nice !

Hi Rudy ! Nice to hear from you again....And with such a Super piece!!! I checked my 800 marked cross and the flaw on the right sword guard is not present on mine. These are another 57 award I wish there was more info on. Tom

                  Hi guys,

Thanks for your comments. I'm so glad I showed it because I didn't see the flaw on bottom of the sword hilt. Thanks to Rudiger's keen eye. I had a closer look to see if it was chipped or is just a flaw and I think it's a flaw. The edge is not jagged. Also, my very early version does not have that flaw.

                  Thanks to everyone.

P.S. - Tom, you can use your daughter's computer to add pictures. I think I can speak for everyone else that we would love to see your collection. I'm sure we can learn alot from it.

Nigel - I see what you mean about the snow. I've been watching the football games on tele and it's coming down.

                  Regards,
                  Rudy
