Nigel, In the Police & Civil Org. Forum

Hi Nigel, In the Police & Civil Organization Forum a post from yesterday talks about & shows a couple variants of the "normal" type ring holder vs. the "Ball" type holder. Of course these are with Swas. I have searched some sites, and found a few WW2 types for sale...the "Ball" looks to have been added to the top arm. I've nerver owned one, and I know there are fakes of the WW2 types around. Tom

Nigel, I have an original 3. Reich 2. Class cross, and the ball is soldered on the cross.
I think, that this big ball is ever soldered.

After comparing the hardware on the Fire Cross with some later S&L EK1's, it apears to be a match to this one, same pin length too...............

This EK has all the features of a piece made around 1970-72/3 approx.
So i guess that should date this Fire Cross to around that date too........
