Well. we are almost at the end of 2012, another year has flown by!!!
I think its been a really great year for 57ers, we've seen some fantastic pieces shown, including many rare items, and some we have not seen before!!
As is usually the case with 57ers, there have been more questions than answers, but i guess, thats all part of the appeal of these pieces, very little has been written, very little is known for sure, its up to us to try and fit the pieces of the puzzle together to find the answers!!!
Its been a special year for me, becoming one of the moderators here alongside Mike, though i really hope it has'nt changed the way i approach the hobby, i think my love of 57ers is stronger than ever, and i dont regret selling my Third Reich collection at all!!!
Thanks to everyone of you that has contributed to the 57 section this year, keep up the good work guys, and i hope we all have a great 2013!!!!!!!!!!

I must agree with Nigel and his views on 2012 ...

Assume we all had to part with certain items, but gained other - more interesting - pieces in return.
More possible variants have turned up, raising more questions, but in the end I hope they lead us closer to an answer.

Would like to take this opportunity to thank all the 57er bunch for a great 2012 and looking forward continuing with you lads in 2013 !

2012 was an exciting year as nigel said for a lot of guys. It was a lot of fun that i hope we can all continue into 2013.

What was special was the friendship we all have in this small community of special people. Again - i hope this continues.
