(its funny really but sometimes knowing the guy smokes actually narrows down the possibilitys of who owned it)

Yes Tom. But in those days, everyone smoked. I never smoked and when I was in the Navy, I worked in a confined space and all you had to do was open the door and it was like a fire in there - all the smoke came out. So, second hand smoke can hurt as well.
