Data base of Pic for 57 KC's ???

    Hi,
I was wondering if we here at WAF have a picture data base of 57 KC's,
I saw one this past weekend at an antique market, it is three piece magnetic.
It strongly resembles a S&L but really not sure. Being in a market there are "NO PICTURES ALLOWED" market rules... The owner is asking $175.00 for it, not sure if I should take a chance or not. I am trying to do search's here, but really not sure what to search for, having a heck of a time finding anything. Need some help please.. thanks.

    Hi Van!
The first thing i would do is search for "Morigi" fakes!! They closely resemble S&L RK's but are made recently here in England, they have a distictive font style. frame, and large un-detailed acorns!
After that you need to study a few threads on S&L's to see if its an early or later piece!
It can be quite confusing, and to be honest, it would be best if you could post photo's of any piece you were thinking of buying here first, then one of the guys can help you out!!
I would'nt buy any 57 RK if you are not sure on it!!!

PS...have a look in the reference threads pinned at the top of the page!!!!

http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=601289 thanks to Matthijs for this thread if it looks like one of these then its definatly worth it at that price if its a c frame might be a tad bit too high with rks it is best to have photos for experts to determine authencity

      best regards

Excellent, thanks guys, I may take a chance after looking at these, it is unmarked, the semi drilled out loop eye is there, Ill look for any of the beading/dent/cut flaws on and around the beading. The finish looks really nice, not the normal grey look like a lot of fakes.. I keep you informed.. thanks again.
