      Hi Mathijs!!
Thats a really nice group, lots of interesting stuff, the Wehrpass alone is a wealth of information!!!
Its always nice to have some photo's to go with the group, often we have a name but no pictures, they give it a more personal touch i think?
The wartime minesweeper is nice, great to have the wartime link, of course, the EK1 is my favorite piece (no surprise!) Love the look of this one, your pics are great too, looks to have some honest wear, and i'd agree Mathijs, that it looks a pretty early one to me, early 60's i would think??
Outstanding KM group, i did'nt know you were branching out into KM, but sometimes you just see something you like??? I know the feeling!!!
I also know a German friend of ours who will really appreciate this group!!!
      Nice one Mathijs!!!!!

I read the title "Small Kreigsmarine Group" and launched into it just assuming a certain German KM enthusiast was the author. Several posts into it and with some surprise, I realized the author was a Belgian who has a very BROAD collection!

What an excellent grouping to a very well traveled Naval Officer!

Like Nigel, I like photos to add a face to a name. I especially like the intimate photo that looks like it was taken in a Naval Officers lounge or something similar.

The wehrpass is nothing short of amazing! Like most modern naval men, he was a world traveler.

Your collection never ceases to amaze me Mathijs! You have awesome stuff from all over the spectrum of German military collectibles!

            Hi Mathijs,
You do come up with them. That is a great group and to repeat what everyone else said - fantastic Wehrpass and I love the pictures that came with it. I wonder if Norm is wanting that large minesweeper badge on the wall.
            Congrats Mathijs.
            Regards
            Rudy

              Hey...this is normally my title

              Very very nice grouping, Mathijs
For me, of course, the wartime minesweeper and the Wehrpass are the most interesting pieces

Let´s go further....awarded the EK II and minesweeper on one date was not unusual, a common practise.
Shoulderboards are Bundesmarine and the insignia is indeed for the visor

              Wehrpass:
Mr.Hinst was born on 05th february 1914 and reached the Bundesmarine on 1st April 1957, so a very early entry
He had some very interesting courses, not only in Germany as in the states and in europe at the US Army school....really interesting that he got a biology and chemical course . That were the times of the cold war, i think.

Being a NATO officer is not very common.....

So a very nice grouping but the Wehrpass and pics brings this really to life.

              Thanks for sharing, buddy

                      Oh...my...God!

What an amazing photo! Where's that badge today!! An amazing wall with what looks like the emblem shields for all the different Minesweeper Flotillas, including the elk's head plaque for the 3. Räumbootsflottille on which my Dad served. I wonder if that room was his or if the photo was taken at a friend's or maybe some kind of officer's club?

                      Any more information please?!

                      Best regards,
                      ---Norm

what a fantastic group (wouldn't exactly say small)

the wehrpass is a "minefield" of knowledge

                          regards
