@Karl, apologies buddy, i always planned to put a late bid on that one, and when i saw it had one bid, i checked, and recognised the ebay id I thought "oh no, he's gonna hate me!!", the style of the bar is a new one for me in 57ers, thats what made me go for it, plus the medals all looked early, for sure the EK2 is!
I'll post it when i get it!

Am I mistaken or is the mounting on Nigels latest buy in the style if Russian parade style bars? Perhaps I'm showing my ignorance, but it wouldn't be the first time. I know little about bars.

Karl, you've got both a good friend and a fierce competitor in Nigel. I always know when a nice bar appears it will go to one of two places.

Hi Mike, i think the Russian style comes down to more of a point at the bottom, its known as a "five sided style" i think??
The bar i've got on the way looks similar to many WW1 bars i've seen, i'm sure theres a correct term for this style of mounting, but i dont what it is, i'm sure one of the guys, maybe Pierce could tell us????
