Great badge Daniel, very rare to find a really early example like this, with the needle pin and "0" mark!!!
          Thanks for showing!!!

What does the O mark mean Nigel?

Well its the little round circle next to the catch ... this is often found on early made 57er by S&L.

If its a makers mark or just a reference point where the badge came of the "assembly line" is still under debate.
But in 99% of the cases its a guarantee for a good solid and early 57er.

What Mathijs said is quite right, but i would just add, that fakers now know this too, and some have started adding an "0" mark to the reverse of their crappy modern repo's, to try and fool us into thinking they are earlier pieces, so just be careful, look at the hardware, details, finish etc.
Everything is being faked now that early pieces are fetching high prices!!!

                    Hello,

very nice one. I tried to catch it also on ebay, but I lost it.
Very high price nevertheless for this beauty.

                    Regards
