Price-Range for Early CCC in Gold ?

    Dear friends,

I'm very interested in acquiring an early Close Combat
Clasp in Gold, but have no clue where to look and less
    what prices to expect...

Can anybody shed me some light please?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Hi Markus,

I've seen the wide pin version by S&L sell for 250 € and the Deumer version for even more ...
Early made Gold CCC are rare as hell, hence this price tag ...

To be honest I can't remember seeing a '57 CCC for sale for a long time - I did a web search to see if I could find one and how much the asking price was, but could only find stickpin minis.

        Nahkampfspange in Gold 1957

I got me this one now with the help of a kind member of this forum.

        I hope it's good!

            Thanks!

I had been looking for one for some time, but have always remained inactive in actually getting it.

I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger.

            Is it an "S&L" ?

            And what production year approx.?

            Can anybody tell?

Hi Markus, thats a great looking clasp!!! It is by S&L, and although its not the very earliest, i think its still a quite early piece.
S&L used the wider "coke bottle" pin for the first couple of years, up to about 1960, this uses the 2nd type of pin.
The quality of the detail and finish make me think this could be from the early 1960's.
Early examples of Gold CCC's are pretty scarce, so i think you did well to get this one, dealers prices are always going to be higher, but if you had any problems with it, Thomas is a good guy, and thats worth a lot too!!
              Congrats

It is a very nice clasp and the hinge is unusual also.
