Hi Pierce!! Another great bar, with a rare combination!!!
The customs medal does'nt turn up very often on either medal or ribbon bars, that combined with two long service medals makes for a really nice ribbonbar!!

Hi,

I don't understand the logic of the ribbon bar.

First, the three crosses of the North Rhein-Westphalia (NRW) decorations are upside down.

Second, you have to remove the silver decoration after the award of the gold decoration (§3):
"(3) Bei Verleihung des Feuerwehr-Ehrenzeichens in Gold ist das Feuerwehr-Ehrenzeichen in Silber abzulegen."

Third, the ribbon colour of the third NRW decoration is wrong, it must be one colour. Otherwise there is no differentation.

Fourth, why are the NRW decorations in the order of the award dates (Silber, Gold, Sonderstufe), but the higher decoration, Deutsches Feuerwehr-Ehrenkreuz, is opposite (Gold, Silber)?

@Skyhawk- I do not have any of the matching medals but I have seen them in books and online and they are impressive.

@Uwe- Thank you for this detailed analysis. I was wondering why so many of a similar decoration were seen together. I am quite certain though, that not everyone abided by the rules and regulations.
