Wearing of 57 combat badges

Guys,

I am very new to this era of German collectables and what I would like to know is were the 1957 replacement combat badges actually allowed to be worn on Bundeswehr uniforms. I have seen pics of veterans in Bundeswehr uniforms wearing 57 ribbon bars but I have never seen any pics of same wearing replacement 57 combat badges.
If so I would like to see some pics if anybody has some. Thanks in advance
