1957'r RK of the Iron cross

    Hello fellow collectors,

I have a simple question, what is the price of a 1957 model RK of the Iron cross?
I'm thinking of buying one in a short period, what is the best place to look for them besides the E-stand here?

    Thanks in advance!!

    Greetings,
    Coco bandy

Ps: Don't have any money right now so if you have one for sale sorry can't afford it yet.

    Good day,

It all depends what you are looking for ...

A scarce Schickle piece can set you back to 800 € +
    A "B" frame 1st pattern S&L around 700-750 € +
    A "C" frame S&L 1st pattern around 500-600 € +
    A 2nd pattern S&L around 300-400 € and more ...+

We are talking dealer prices here ... some of us have been lucky in the past and snapped one up for much less ...

Hope you can understand we cannot reveal any sources ... we all have to look ( and fight for our own pieces these days ) to get decent items for good prices.

There are no fixed spots to look for these ... sometimes you have to get lucky.

      Hello,

      Thanks for the answer!
As I understand S&L are the only makers of 1957 RK of the Iron cross?

Some time ago I saw an RK of the Iron cross sold on Waf for about 90 euros is this a later type orso, like 1970 made?

And to be exact I don't really care about the RK made in 1957 of 1970 (for instance)

      Sorry I'm really a 1957 newbie!
      Thanks for the help!
      greetings,

Hi Coco, actually, Otto Schickle was another firm that made them, but they're rare. If you're looking for a basic '57 RK, I'd recommend a 2nd pattern with a magnetic core. The 2nd types that were made later, had non-magnetic cores, were very poor quality, and they were being produced for the collecting community.
