    1st pattern S&L B-frame

This beauty arrived today in my lttlec ollection

A typical flawed B-frame S&L in nice condition. Extremely sharp details on the core and the patina is IMO fantastic too.

This one is not attributed but that´s in this case really good for me So i can add this one to my Pinkepank group and don´t have to build a new display

Well Rudiger, my first question is....how did you beat Mathijs to this beauty??
This is yet another wonderful "B" frame RK! We have seen a couple of great RK's already this week, and as usual, its a treat for the eyes!!
I see the ribbon has been altered to make it easy to put on and take off, in the usual vets way, so theres no doubt this was a vet worn piece!!
The fact that the name of the owner has been lost, is a little sad, but it makes it perfect for you, as i know you were looking for just such an early RK to help complete your Pinkepank group!!
Very nice "look" to the core details and paint finish, beading flaws and ring not fully drilled out, and as you said nice patina too! All in all, another great example of S & L's early RK production!!
      Congratulations Rudiger

but tell me, are these '57ers more/less expensive than the 3rd reich RK's?

          but again, nice cross!!

          cheers Dougie

            They are luckily much cheaper.
But most recipients did wear them with the same pride!
And they (mostly) wore the RK more often than they wore their wartime RK.

@ Nigel ... I got stuck at work the evening it came up for sale ... otherwise, who knows where it would have ended up .

@ Rüdiger ... lovely example indeed ... besides the quality, the price must have been the best next thing .

                Rüdiger,

                Your RK is awesome, man!

I am on the hunt for a good S&L-type B-frame 1. Pattern RK marked 800 (again).
Any tips appreciated. I'm being very picky this time around .
                Best regards,

Super cross Rüdiger! All the best attributes for a typical flawed B-frame S&L IMO!
