Although I would prefer them a little earlier, it is a nice grouping.
        I like it

But the price was probably much lower.

And looking at the items, I also believe that they are all bought at the same moment.
Unlike often, I do believe the provenance.
In that case you bought a fine piece of history and from that view it doen's really matter if he bought it in 1957 or later.

You post a lot of groupings lately and sold some ek's. Did you chance collecting iterests?
Maybe time to make an overview picture, must be impressive

Hi Luud, yes i have changed my collecting habits a bit, even though i still like my EK's!! There just are'nt enough EK variants coming up for sale to keep me going!! The EK's i've sold are only spares, i've got identical ones still in my collection!
At the moment i'm trying to buy interesting groupings, attributed if possible!!
The price on this group was good, and as you said, if these had been early pieces they would have been much more expensive!
Its funny too, that after seeing these vet owned later pieces, i've changed my mind about whats collectable, and whats not. At one time, if i saw an open hingeblock, i would run a mile, but the earliest open hingeblock pieces from the late 60's are still pretty good quality, and many were vet owned.
If a piece was vet owned, then thats ok by me!!!
And... nearly every grouping has an EK in it!!!!!!00hour.gif

If it can indeed be traced and its history revealed, then I don't think it matters if its an earliest possible made badge or later production ...
