        Hi George,

these pieces are not "...two ... 1957 awards...", like yours.

There was no "award" with the 1957 regulations (Ordensgesetz), it was only allowed to wear certain pieces.

And it is not a 1957 version, because there is no change of the design.

Only these are 1957 versions (plus "Rettungsmedaille"), with the changed design:

Some Germans and several foreigners sometimes forget it.

Hi George! As you may have realised things can get a bit confusing when we talk about postwar produced awards!!
As Uwe said, some awards were redesigned, and had their swastikas removed/replaced, a list of these awards is in the link Uwe gave you, only these awards can be called 1957ers!
Some awards had no swastika in their design, like the TDB, Ostvolk medals, Oakleaves to the RK etc, so they did'nt need a new design! These awards were still produced postwar, alongside the 57ers, but should'nt be called 57ers, though often they are!!
Yours badges both look like decent postwar versions, not sure on date, but i think they are ok!!

            Hi Nigel,

... produced ... alongside the 57ers, but should'nt be called 57ers, though often they are!!
            They are not, never!!

Several people are not willing to accept, that all these pieces had been made before the law of 1957.

Before the law of 1957 all people called these pieces "REPRODUCTIONS, COPIES AND FAKES", and not ORIGINAL.
And without the law from 1957 everybody would call them furthermore and without any problem "REPRODUCTIONS, COPIES AND FAKES".

That did not change with the law from 1957!

Some Germans and several foreigners sometimes ignore it.

            Uwe

George1959 can you tell where the wires are attached to the plane on the gold aircraft destruction award? You can pm me if you don't want to say on the thread. Im just curious. These both also seem to have the same type design with the small square of same material used in the backing , and look like they were made at the same place. thanks

This award, number 37 (Tieffliegervernichtungsabzeichen) and 62 (Sonderabzeichen für das Niederkämpfen von Panzerkampfwagen usw. durch Einzelkämpfer), is not 57er !

Only that, plus "Rettungsmedaille", number 1 from your link:

George, please dont think there is anything wrong with the pieces you have shown, they are from the same period as the 57ers, and made alongside them!! They are'nt modern junk, so dont worry, its only the terms used to describe them that some people object to, not the pieces themselves!!

I have a ww2 Gadb brought home by a vet. I couldn't get an answer to my direct question to you george ,and its been two weeks ,which, to me, seems rude, so I'm just going to forget the follow through, as you are obviously not interested in what i have to share. . I can only assume you thought i had nothing to add , or couldn't be bothered with my question. My apologies for trying to help you out, and i hope you get the answer you seek.

He never asked if they were "57ers" so you should stop hounding him about the technicality. I think he is just asking if these were legitiment awards given to people post war, or if these were reproductions made to fool.
