1957 German Cross in gold

Hello All , This is my first German Cross.
Although it's a 1957 piece , I'm still stunned when looking at it.

But now I was wondering how I can determine if the piece is an Early or a Late piece.

Can somebody help me with this ?

A nice looking '57. A better finish and pin assembly than most.

I'd say it's an early one. You can easily say that when you compare your piece with mine:

Reverse, the pin is a more modern type then the one on your piece.

But that doesn't mean that i love my piece less.
