RK KvK w/swords ... money down the drain or ... ???

    Hi guys,

Won this off eBay, but I'm not too keen on it. No money return, so is this a total waste of my money or is there still something about it worth keeping it ???

Hi Mathijs, i saw this on E-bay myself, and from the sellers pics, it looked to have promise! I thought it might be a slightly later piece, without the frosting and mirror highlights, something similar to the one Stijn bought recently!
But now i see your photo's, i have to admit i'm not too keen either. The overall quality of finish does'nt look too good, at least thats what it seems from the pics? There seems to be rough areas, bits that look like they should have been filed off and have'nt, that kind of thing, is that how it looks to you Mathijs??
If i remember your RK w/o swords, that one was an early beauty, if you compare the two side by side......... i dont think this one is in the same league??
Sorry buddy, i'm trying not to paint too bad a picture, but to be 100% honest, i'm with you...
Perhaps it'll do while an early one comes along?? I'm guessing its a later piece simply because of the finish, just not what we'd expect from a very early one, i can see why you are disapointed Mathijs, i know you want only the best for your collection!

              Hi Mathijs,

Sadly, I have to agree that IMO this has the characteristics of a later made piece. Not a waste of money, but not up to your usual high standards.

On the bright side, your pics are FANTASTIC! What camera are you using? The close-ups are wonderful!
